Additional pros for the Olympus are the larger sensitivity, the better viewfinder and the optical image stabilizer. A nice touch is that the display has a higher resolution, the superior video recording and the connector for an external microphone. Another advantage over the DMC G5: that the battery has more stamina, the built-in wifi that permits remote shooting and image transfer without the need for a cable connection and the support for USB 3.0.
